Final Project Pitch, McKenna Grant

For my final project, I intend to use video, audio, and photography to capture the behind the scenes rehearsals and final performance of Ballet Company M, a dance company on campus that performs every semester at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.  I am a member of Ballet Company M and choreograph for the company so I will have access to all rehearsals, practices, and members.  I want to use video for the majority of my final project because dance is such a visual art form.  The sound of pointe shoes tapping against the floor does not supply the image of the actual movements the dancers are creating to the sound of music.  I know that I will be able to get a lot of great video and photos of the dancers, as well as interviews with the dancers through audio that I could pair up with the images I gather.
